Hi, Car Fans,
We look forward to seeing you as the shows
and cruise-ins start up again, and have a few dates we'd
like to have you put on your calendars.
May 30, the VFW
Car Show at the VFW Post 3073 on Taylor Rd. in Dothan. Awards
for Top 30, 50-50 drawing, door prizes, food, craft vendors,
and this year we'll be on the shady side of the building! Registration
$15./car from 8 to 12. Awards at 2:00. This
is to benefit the Veterans' Relief Fund. The money
is used primarily to help service people get to their home
towns when they return from overseas on leave. (The
government gets them to the States. The service men/women
are responsible for getting themselves from the port of
entry to their homes and many do not have the money for
that.)
July 4, the Kiwanis
Club 3rd Annual Family 4th Extravaganza at the National
Peanut Festival Fairgrounds. Lots of family activities
and a huge fireworks show that night. Your $15/car
registration gets you in for all of the activities and
the fireworks show. Cars will be judged in 30
to 35 categories. Awards, at 3:00, will be given
for 1st, 2nd & 3rd in each category, Best in Show,
Farthest Distance, and Club Participation. You can
leave and return for the fireworks show at no extra charge,
or remain on the grounds for all of the activities.
October 10, car show
in conjunction with the Headland Harvest Day Festival.
We'll have more information on all of these
shows at later dates and will keep you posted. Look
forward to seeing you at all of these shows, hosted by
the New South Cruisers.
Also, New South Cruisers will resume our
cruise-ins on March 27th and will continue on the 4th Saturday
of each month through October. We look forward to
seeing you for lots of fun and fellowship at McAlister's
Deli on the Circle.
